It was pretty nice to mostly have a low key Christmas. The little girls were just excited about the day. They must have been good because they got what they had asked for. They had never wavered on their answer to what they wanted for Christmas -- a red pony car. (I don't know where they got that from!)
The girls just enjoyed the day in their car (if only they had such endurance in the real world). They drove, they worked on their laptops, they played Barbies and everything else, they watched movies.
During a break from their road trip we played a round of Candy Land.
John was supposed to work half a shift but was called off. Too bad - NOT!
For Christmas dinner we abandoned the "traditional" dinner for "real" Chicago stuffed crust pizza. As a gift for some of the staff, Dr. Dacanay, previously from Chicago, had ordered eight pizzas from his favorite pizza place to be overnighted on ice. They were delivered on Christmas eve. It was a real treat!
